For the 2011 World Dragon Boat Racing Championship, all reservations will be booked through the Tampa Bay Dragon Boat Housing Bureau. Please read the information below carefully as you will need to book your reservation via the following methods in order to receive the discounted group rate for the 2011 Championship. Please note that only one reservation can be booked per participant or supporter. If you need to book multiple reservations, please send an email to Housing@VisitTampaBay.com and they will assist you.
Methods on howto book your Hotel Reservation
The Housing Bureau will open for reservations on 01 September 2010. Select only one of the following methods to book your hotel reservation.

Internet booking is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Fax to 813-218-3369: Click here to download the hotel reservation form as a .PDF. Please fill out the hotel reservation form and fax it into the Housing Bureau office.
Mail: Mail the above hotel reservation form to the following address.

Reservation Deadline
Book your reservation by June 23, 2011 by 5:00 p.m. EST to receive the discounted room rate. The Housing Bureau will remain open through July 27, 2011 but cannot guarantee the discounted rate or availability after June 23, 2011. Please do not contact the hotels directly for changes or cancellations until July 28, 2011 as they will not have your reservation in their system until then.
Housing Information and Change/Cancellation Policies
- Acknowledgements of reservation request will be sent after each reservation form is received/processed, as well as each time a reservation is modified/changed and/or cancelled. For online reservations, acknowledgement is immediate. For faxed/mailed forms, acknowledgements will be sent within 2 business days of completion of processing. Please review acknowledgements carefully for accuracy. If you do not receive an acknowledgement within 10 days of submission, please contact the Housing Bureau via fax 813-218-3369 or e-mail, Housing@VisitTampaBay.com.
- Reservations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Availability may be limited at hotels. Only one room reservation can be booked online per internet session. If you need to book multiple reservations, please contact the Housing Bureau and they can assist with multiple reservations.
- All hotels require a credit card guarantee of one night’s room and tax with each reservation request. Housing forms received without a valid credit card will be returned and will not be processed. Credit cards must be valid through August 31, 2011 in order to be considered a proper guarantee.
- All hotel room rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes in effect at the time of check-in (currently 12% – subject to change without notice).
- Though the Housing Bureau will stay open through July 27th, reservations can be modified and/or cancelled without penalty before June 23, 2011. After this date and up to 72 hours prior to arrival, cancellations will be charged $25. Any cancellations within 72 hours of arrival are subject to one night’s room and tax penalty at your confirmed hotel. Do not contact the hotels directly until after July 27, 2011.

Transportation to and from the Tampa International Airport is included in the administration fee for this event. More information on this fee will be released in the first informational bulletin, scheduled to be released in September 2010.
Should your team not wish to stay in one of the provided accommodations listed above, please be aware that transportation to and from your chosen accommodation will not be provided by the OrgCom.
